The 2011 Mooscars !

I don't have much time, so this is going to be a very short ceremony. Lights ! Cameras ! Action !..........................

I'm sad to say that I have not seen any of this years nominees for Foreign Film, Best Makeup, Documentary (long or short) or Animated Short *Weep*

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY - this is a tough category. they're all good ones, but I think I'll go against the odds and with the cool indy film Winter's Bone

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY - ummmmmm another tough one, so I'm just going to go with the film I liked the best . The King's Speech

BEST VISUAL EFFECTS - this one i thought was kinda easy to pick, Alice In Wonderland

BEST SOUND MIXING - ummmmm no clear winner for me, so I'm gonna go with the most innovative, Inception

BEST SOUND EDITING - for the reasons in the previous category above, Inception

BEST SCORE - thinking back on it now, I can't really remember any of the scores from the movies except for one, so this Mooscar goes to 127 Hours

BEST EDITING - I didn't particularily like the movie, but I have to say I thought it was editted very well. Black Swan

BEST COSTUME DESIGN - this movie was so visually cool, I have to give the nod to Alice In Wonderland

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY - mannnnnn this is a tough one, but i think I will have to give it to Black Swan

BEST ART DIRECTION - again I have to go with the most visaully cool, so Alice In Wonderland

BEST ANIMATED FILM - WHERE THE HELL IS THE NOMINATION FOR DESPICABLE ME ?????? It was by far the best animated film of the year Toy Story 3 downright sucked . How To Train Your Dragon was enjoyable, but of these three I have to go with the amazingly clever Old School Animation with a better story and choose The Illusionist

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS - ooooooo this is a toughie. so many good performance, but I thik the most memorable for me was Melissa Leo in The Fighter

BEST ACTRESS - ummmmm this category isnt as full of great performances as the last one, but rather than choosing the popular nominee (whose performance I kinda thought was overrated), I'm going to go with the wonderfully underplayed indy and choose Jennifer Lawrence in Winter's Bone

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR - ooooooooo this is another toughie . though I dont understand why Geoiffrey rush wasn't nominated in the Best Actor Category, its between him and Christian Bale. ummmmm *Flips Coin*............. Christian Bale in The Fighter (sorry Geoffrey I probably would have chosen you for Best actor against those nominees)

BEST ACTOR - I didn't see Biutiful, but the remaining four are tough to call. its too bad Jeff Bridges won last year, cuz this would be a more deserving award than for last year, but his was the Most Memorable Performance, so Jeff Bridges in True Grit

BEST DIRECTOR- mannnnnnn this is a toughie. all very different movies, but I went into this movie expecting to dislike it and I didn't, so this Mooscar goes to Tom Hooper for The King's Speech

BEST PICTURE - firstly , what the hell is Toy Story 3 doing here ??? It F'ing sucked and to be honest this year's nomnations for best film kinda make one think that 2011 wasnt alll that great a year for the movies, at least not nomination wise. I do have to pick one, so from this list, the film I liked the best was The King's Speech

as usual I have to recommend not using these picks for any Oscar pools . not that I have anything against wagering, but nothing I pick usually wins, so you'll lose for sure if you go with me :p

Enjoy the Show !!

I can't really say who I'll be rooting for . I havent watched even a second of football all season, so depending upon my mood, I'm not even sure if I'll even watch . It's a rainy day, so staying inside will be a good option. I guess it will come down to finding a TV marathon thats more interesting than the game or not ........
