though everyone on the planet has some level of twititude to them, i decided to give Twitter a try . especially since reports are now saying that twitter has hit its peak and a slow decline is expected . that will help keep my streak of missing internet trends "when it was still good", shall remain intact . one of these years i am going to figure out how to use the puter socially, but in the meantime i'll be posting things as rollickster . it will probably just be *Chair Boogies* of songs that are playing on my puter or ones i stumble across (so long as i can find a decent audio link for them) . if anyone knows of cool things out there in twitterland , let me know and i'll check em out

just when the idea of upgrading to Windows 7 was becoming somewhat palatable , they screw me up again . the other day i was attempting to to use windows messenger (the only reason its even on my puter is so that my mum can video chat with my sis in England) . while attempting to connect, i was met with a forced upgrade to windows live messsenger . ok fine, i install it without all the extra crap it wants to install along with it . the install takes forever and when its done, i can't connect to messenger anymore *sigh* it took me a couple of days of sifting thru help sites until i found the culprit . this is what worked for me and it may not work for everyone, but heres my fix....
if you discover that you have Error 8000401a, follow these steps:
- start/run regedit
- expand the tree and look for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT AppID
- expand and look for the key 380689D0-AFAA-47E6-B80E-A33436FE314B
- right click that sucker and Delete It
- close regedit and messenger should now work for you , good luck
typical Microsoft, they release a product before all the bugs are worked out. i don't think i'll be upgrading to Windows 7 anytime soon. messenger had probs and its a small app , not an entire operating system *shakes head*

what a treat last night was . i packed up a picnic supper and headed down to Ambleside Park (only 5 blocks away) to sit in the grass and listen to Sheryl Crow, Neil Young & Sarah McLachlan's fund raiser for Music Outreach in schools . earlier in the day, a spot where you could peek through to the stage had been closed up , but they had also erected a giant super high def screen that was viewable from where i had planned to eat . if you didn't mind losing one Neil young song to a passing freight train, a fire truck and and ambulance buzzing about, the show went off without a hitch . you certainly couldn't beat the price
