someone emailed me and asked if i was ok, cuz i hadnt posted in a bit . sorry about that, but sis was in town from the uk and i had a chance to go over to the cabin for a visit . it was good too. i stuffed myself every day with really tasty food . the corn this year was incredible . the best in 20 years . sweet but not too sweet and really flavourful . mmmmmmmm all that corn slathered in butter was probably not the most heart heathy thing i could eat (nor were all the ice cream cones, but sis FORCED me to have them), but all is good and i am feeling fine and getting stronger by the week .
before i went away i did manage to get thru the archives up til aug 8 so i have a couple of quick posts and then i'll get right back up to date soon . in the meantime enjoy some sausages...............

I can't believe its been a month since i had the heart attack . it doesnt seem that long at all , but it sure explains why when i was at the hospital the other day, they gave me funny looks when i said the attack happend 2 weeks ago, when it was really four . oops.
about the hospital trip.........had a bit of a scare this week . with all the new meds i have to take , one wasnt exactly playing nicely with the others and i wound up in the hospital again . what i thought was an oncoming heart attack , turned out to be intense gas pressure , which exactly mirrored major angina symptoms . after a day of being poked & prodded, drained of blood and fighting with the tangle of heart monitor and IV wires , it was determined that my heart was just fine and there was nothing to worry about . i'm not worrying so much now , but i can tell you it was sure scary that morning trying to make it to the hospital . *shudder*
i still dont have the strength to sit at the puter for that long , but i did manage to find these sausages................
