i got an email this week from someone saying that they had looked at my site and liked it . it took 4000 hits or so , but at long last someone didnt email a complaint . thanks to st louis ! its appreciated
the email also suggested that i should perhaps include an "About Rollick" page . i have pics that although they are getting a tad dated , are close enough . (i did buy a remore for my new camera this week so i may have new pics of me soon) .
should i have an about me section ? i dunno , but i will answer a few queries from the email right here and now .
Q#1 - Units of What ? - that would be units of iron . i am recovering from having toxic levels of iron in my blood . we arent exactly sure whats caused it . its not common . most people who have iron probs , have too little . i am well on the way to recovery though . i guess i am just always trying to be different . which kinda leads to the next question .....
Q#2 - Who Are You - now without getting all existential and 'deep' . i'm just a single guy in his 40s living in one of the most beautiful regions on the planet . i'm university educted , somewhat well travelled , well read , funny , adventurous etc etc etc . i have many interests , photography is one thats obvious from a casual glance thru the site . one thing that isnt so obvious from looking at the site are my politics . most of the neagtive email has been from ignorant americans who think criticism of policies , no matter how well documented and/or just plain silly and fun , is an attack on america . that kind of thinking is just sooooo wrong on soooo many levels that it should get its own posting for another day . people latley criticise me for being for being too far on the left , when in fact i am smack dab in the middle of the poitical spectrum . if a democrat was a corrupt , pretend christian , invader of other countries for their natural resources , while at the same time stripping human rights , diminshing the economic power of his country , creating laws that benifitted insiders and harmed real people etc etc etc . i would be just as critical . i am utterly astounded that its taken so long to expose bush and the people who manipulate him for their own aims , as the charlatans they are . not that the democrats are anything great , but at least their policies dont seem to harm as many people . america sooooo needs a 3rd party to weed out left and right extremists . life their would be so much happier .
as for my Sausages (which will soon appear above this posting) , they are food for thought . i am not making specific statements with them . they are just links that i have culled from regular casual viewing of the internet . they are merely things that piqued my curiosity made me laugh , or made me think . if anyone sees one they are offended by , close the link , get over it and try another one . eventually you'll find one you'll like . dont email me with an inane complaint . i dont put that much thought into blogging , neither should you lol .
